If there’s one wellness tip that’s full proof it’s this: drink some damn water. Truly, I can’t tell you how many times a simple hydration check can make all the difference when it comes to helping you to feel good physically, mentally, and emotionally.
While drinking water is one of the easiest wellness hacks to achieve, it’s not always easy, is it? Especially if you don’t like the taste of water.
Don’t worry, I have 3 tips that will make sure you get enough water every day. Plus, this post will share why you staying hydrated is so dang important. If you’re feeling low energy, brain foggy, or just plain down- then getting hydrated might be the best place to start your wellness journey today.
How To Make Sure You’re Getting Enough Water Every Day
I’m keeping it simple for you all today with just THREE vital tips when it comes to making sure you’re getting enough water every day.
I mean, c’mon, let’s not overcomplicate it with five million steps. We’re talking about water after all, which is a powerhouse substance all on its own.
Drink Water When You Wake Up
Okay, first things first, one of the best ways to make sure you’re getting enough water in your day is to drink it first thing in the morning. I’m talking at least one full glass before you drink coffee, tea, or whatever your morning beverage of choice is.
I’m not kidding when I say this completely changed my wife’s energy and digestion when she first met me. She was someone who drank coffee right away, and let’s just say, that wasn’t doing her any favors. When she switched to drinking a full cup of water before the coffee, her energy and digestion were much happier.
Hot tip to make sure you remember your water when you wake up: keep a full glass of water by your bed before you fall asleep. Or, even better, fill up a whole dang water bottle (that’s what I do). This is especially helpful when it’s cold and you don’t want to jump out of bed right away first thing in the morning.

Carry A Water Bottle
Next up, you’ll want to invest in a water bottle. I’m a big water bottle girlie. Like, I’ve gone through a lot of different brands in my lifetime. But I have to say, I’m officially sold on the Yeti bottle , mostly because it actually keeps liquid hot and cold. And, it’s easy to clean, so there’s no build up of mold.
The reason you’ll want to have a water bottle is that it’s obviously a lot easier to carry around than an open glass of water (duh). The bottle serves as a physical reminder for you to drink, and it can also show you how much water you’ve had throughout the day.
Of course, if you prefer to get a Stanley because they’re all the rage right now in the trend world- then go for it. As long as yo have something with you that will make sure you have water with you all day!
Lastly, use electrolytes in your water. This is helpful for a few reasons.
If you don’t like the taste of water, then electrolytes will be your new best friend, because it makes your water a little more fun. My personal favorite LMNT flavors are watermelon, raspberry, and grapefruit. Trust me on this.
The other reason adding electrolytes is helpful is that you don’t necessarily need as much water as you would if it didn’t have electrolytes in it. So, if you’re someone who forgets to drink water, or doesn’t like the feeling of having a lot of liquid in your stomach- then adding salts is the perfect solution for you.
Finally, electrolytes ensure that you actually get all of the nutrients that are meant to be in water. While filtering water is definitely beneficial for our health, oftentimes this also means all the good stuff gets stripped out too. Using LMNT means you get all the minerals and nutrients that you’d otherwise miss out on.
