About Journey to Splits

This 4-week Journey to Splits yoga series will focus on building strength and flexibility to achieve Front and Middle splits. Each week, there will be multiple sets of drills to help students achieve strength and flexibility. By the end of the 4 weeks, students will have a deeper understanding of their bodies and be well on their way to achieving splits.

This is a moderate/Intermediate level series.

Week 1 and Week 3 focus on Front Splits.

Week 2 and Week 4 focus on Middle Splits.

The weekly plan:

Day 1: Reclined Drills (Beginner)
Day 2: Seated Drills (Moderate/Beginner)
Day 3: Downdog Drills (Moderate/Intermediate)
Day 4: Lunge Drills (Intermediate)
Day 5: Standing Drills (Intermediate)
Day 6: Full Flow (Intermediate)
Day 7: Off The Mat Practice (all levels)

The drill classes from Week 1 and Week 3 are the same, but the Full Flows are different.

The drill classes from Week 2 and Week 4 are the same, but the Full Flows are different.

We incorporate repetition with the drills so that you can witness the progress in your body more clearly throughout the month.

We suggest practicing the classes in order, as they strategically build on one another. However, if you prefer to practice in your own order, that's fine too!

Each week will explore a different theme that relates to the hips, as seen through the lens of the Sacral Chakra. We'll explore these themes physically, mentally, and emotionally through each of the classes. And we'll take these lessons off of the mat on Day 7, where you have a call to action each week.
