Liver Lover Smoothie Bowl
This has been my go-to brekkie pretty much every morning this summer.
I want to mention that some of the ingredients were influenced by the Medical Mediumβs latest book, Cleanse to Heal.
Although I donβt necessarily agree with all of his approaches or methodologies, I do appreciate his suggestions that have also been backed by science and research when it comes to supporting the bodyβs detox process.
Additionally, Iβll add that some of these ingredients sounds like crazy things to add to a delicious smoothie bowl.
I get it. I was skeptical too.
But, I promise that it DOES taste good.
And not that βhealthyβ kinda good that you tolerate because you know itβs good for you- itβs actually bomb. Promise!
Ingredients
Smoothie:
1/2 C organic frozen blueberries
1/8 C organic frozen raspberries or strawberries
1 organic frozen banana
1/4 C frozen cilantro (fresh)
1 Tbsp organic wild blueberry powder
1 Tbsp organic spirulina powder
1 - 2 Tbsp dulse seaweed flakes
1/8 C banana milk or dairy free milk of your choice
Toppings (optional):
Granola (click here for my recipe!)
Organic cacao nibs
Organic hemp seeds
Organic nut butter of your choice
Instructions
1. Add all ingredients to food processor. If youβre sensitive to frozen, thick consistency with smoothies/smoothie bowls then donβt freeze your fruit. Or, only freeze berries, but leave the rest chilled/room temp.
2. Add about 1/8 C milk of your choice to smoothie. I like mine to remain pretty solid, so I donβt use much milk. But if you like it runnier, then use more.
3. Blend until to the consistency of your liking.
4. If youβre having as a bowl, then top with whatever goodies youβre into (I gave suggestions above).
ENJOY!
