RYT 1000 hrs

“I decided to go through my first Teacher Training Program in 2013 after coming back to the States from a two-year travel. At the time, I was struggling with pretty severe depression and anxiety in the wake of my return "home."
This training came to me at a beautifully pivotal moment in my life. The experience only further calibrated my inner compass, finally pointing me in a direction that felt fulfilling and just plain RIGHT.

My 200 hour course focused on Baptiste-inspired Vinyasa at Core Power, Encinitas. This training was great in the sense it really focused on how to make each person an articulate and effective teacher by only using their words. In order to achieve such a thing, we studied anatomy, alignment and sequencing extensively.

Afterwards, I realized that as much as I love to create dynamic and creative sequences- I equally cherish leading restorative practices and guided meditations, as well. So, three years later, I was drawn to India to explore the true roots and culture of the practice.

In 2017 I completed an additional RYT 300 hr studying traditional Hatha Yoga and yogic philosophy at Om Shanti Om Yoga School.
During this same trip to India, I also completed my first 100 hours studying more about Ayurveda with a local doctor in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, as well. And, from there, I was inspired to follow my heart to Nepal where I trained up to Level ll in Reiki Healing at a meditation center in Pokhara.

The following year (2018), I chose to dive even deeper in to the practice by completing a second 300 hour course in Dharamsala, India. This time, I studied with Trimurti Yoga School. The course covered multi-style yoga (Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin). However, the main emphasis of the training was on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda, and how to incorporate all of these ancient methods into a relevant modern-day class or program.

In 2019 and 2020, I took a variety of shorter courses both online and in person with teachers I admire in the different schools of yoga such as: Budakon, Embodied Flow, and Yin.

I also studied (and continue to study) with mentors and teacher in other modalities such as TCM, plant medicine, and intuitive energy work.

I'm typically classified as an inversion junkie and back-bending queen. I supposed this is fair considering how I spent almost as much time on my hands as I do on my feet, or with my heart spread open to the sky.
I specialize in leading arm balance and heart opening workshops not only out of my love for the asanas themselves, but also for my devotion to the mental and spiritual benefits of these powerful postures, as well.”
