Beauty Hacks For Under $20
We love a good beauty hack. But what we love even more is when those beauty hacks don’t break the bank, right?
Trust me, I understand how all the fancy skincare, injections, and lasers can add up. I’m right there with you in thinking the price can be a little crazy on some of those treatments. However, I keep going back for more, because they actually work.
While it’s definitely important to invest in quality skincare to support all of those facials, lasers, and treatments- there’s also quite a few beauty hacks that can be just as helpful, without the big price tag.
Today’s post will share a round up of 13 of my favorite beauty hacks that cost less than $20. All of these products are things that I use regularly, and can genuinely say have made a difference in my beauty routine.
Beauty Hacks For Under $20
Sure, beauty can be expensive, but it doesn’t always have to be. In fact, some of the best beauty secrets can be totally free. Like getting good sleep, drinking enough water, and doing self massage on your face and body when you can.
One of the most important things to remember is to try to let these little additives feel good, decadent, and pleasurable when you’re doing them. Rather than another stressful thing to add to your to-do list.
The energy you have when you’re applying these steps to your beauty routine will help you drop into that ooey gooey goodness feeling that really helps to cultivate the glow you’re looking for from the inside, out.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is the only moisturizer I’ve used for years. Not only does it do a great job of nourishing the skin (especially for dry skin girlies like me), but it’s also all natural and totally safe for all phases of life. Plus, because it’s so thick, it lasts a long time, which gives you more bang for your buck.
Emily’s Skin Soothers
An acupuncturists friend first recommended Emily’s to me when I was having a lot of rashes and skin irritations. It’s truly the only thing that soothes my skin when I’m having any sort of flare. For the sensitive skin people out there, this balm is for you. And for those of you looking for a natural check or eye highlighter, a little bit of Emily’s goes a long way.
Wet Brush
Is there any other brush to use other than Wet Brush? I mean seriously, if you want to avoid a ton of hair shedding, and detangle your mane with ease- Wet Brush is the only option to choose, really. I love this brush, because it doesn’t break or pull my hair.
Mouth Tape
Mouth tape is my new love language, I swear. Yes, there are plenty of incredible health benefits to nostril breathing. And, there are also some great beauty benefits to closing your dang mouth when you sleep. Like helping to tighten your neck and jawline, and providing more oxygen to give you a refreshed look in the morning.
Ice Roller
Ice rollers are about to be your new best friend if you run puffy in the mornings…or at all, really. Keep that bad boy in the freezer, and do a few minutes of rolling right when you wake up to de-puff and tighten your face. Hot tip, roll over a sheet mask or under eye patches for the ultimate feel good experience.
Gua Sha
Facial manipulation is one of the best ways to keep your skin tight, and your face sculpted. Gua sha is a tool that’s been used for centuries, and that’s for one reason…because it works! If you’re new to gua sha, just hop onto Youtube to watch a few tutorials on how and where to stroke the tool for maximum benefits.
Jade Roller
The jade roller is right up there with the gua sha, as they both originate from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach. Jade rolling can help move the lymph in your face, which can also help with puffiness. I love to keep mine in the freezer to really target the morning puff.
Facial Cups
Facial cups are small but mighty tools that help to move and drain the lymph in your face to help sculpt your face, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and boost circulation. Cupping is another TCM tool that’s been used for centuries, and proven to be effective and safe.
Dermaplaning Razor
You know I love a face shaving day over here. Nothing feels better than a fresh shave, and my skin is absolutely glowing afterwards. Shaving your face helps to provide a gentle, yet effective exfoliation. And exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells, clear up breakouts, and reduce pore size. You can find my face shaving tips here.
Silk Eye Mask
Silk eye masks are the best option for anyone with sensitivity to light when they sleep. I personally don’t use this on a regular basis, but I do love using my silk eye mask when I travel on long flights of buses. Make sure you get a silk one to reduce loss of eyelashes and eyebrows!
Under Eye Patches
There’s nothing better than slapping under eye patches on at some point in your day and seeing the glowing benefits right away. My favorite time to use them is on a long flight, because I swear it gives me an instant refresh. If you’re a puffy girlie, then pop your under eye patches in the refrigerator for an even greater cooling and de-puffing effect.
Nasal Rinse
How can a nasal rinse help with beauty? Because keeping your nose clear helps with under eye bags, of course! Don’t worry, I answer all of your nasal rinse questions in this post, because this is truly one of my favorite wellness and beauty hacks of all time.
LMNT
The LMNT variety pack will go a long way in improving your sleep, boosting skin glow, and aiding in digestion. All of these health upgrades will naturally improve your overall appearance, helping you to look as refreshed as you feel. My favorite LMNT flavors are watermelon and grapefruit btw.
I’m so excited for you to try some of my favorite beauty hacks for under $20. Comment below which ones are your favorite!
