Summer Smoothie Bowl

This little number is easily my favorite way to start the day. 

However, as I’m working on cycle syncing my food-I’ve been trying to stick to cooler, summery foods in the first half of my cycle only. .

This bowl is especially great for the Ovulatory phase of your cycle, b

ut is pretty bomb no matter what (especially on hot summer days).

It makes me feel like I’m eating desert for brekkie. Which is kind of the best feeling in the world.

Ingredients

1 frozen banana (ripe & spotty)
1/2 C frozen blueberries 
1/2 C frozen strawberries 
1 C milk of choice (for my favorite recipe, click here)
Nut butter of your choice (click here for my favorite recipe)
Pumpkin seeds
Hemp seeds 
Cacao nibs 
Fresh raspberries 


Instructions

Instructions:

1. If you’re making your own milk or nut butter, best to do that first (or even the night before). Click here for my recipes.

2. Add 1 frozen, spotty banana, 1/2 C frozen blueberries, 1/2 C frozen strawberries & 1 C nut milk to food processor. Blend until creamy and smooth. If you need to add more liquid, feel free to include more milk (this helps to soften the frozen fruit). 

3. Add smoothie to bowl, and top with pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds & cacao nibs to your liking. Include a tablespoon (or more!) of nut butter

4. Top with fresh raspberries.
